Continued delays due to container shortage
Since our last update, we have experienced continued delays due to container shortages and stops in the usual transport flows around the world. We are working hard to secure containers for our goods, but unfortunately we will experience later deliveries than previously expected.
Strömshaga has the majority of its production in India and the country, which was under lockdowns earlier this spring, has slowly been able to reopen from June and onwards. The container shortage in India has been a huge problem after the Summer and that together with fewer cargo ships stopping in ports of India have disrupted the global transport flow. In China, where Strömshaga has another large part of its production, port terminals have been closed due to new Covid-19 outbreaks that were discovered.
We work hard to secure containers to get the goods to our warehouse. So far, everything seems to be moving, but with a later arrival than first expected. We apologize for the delays and try to do what we can to keep you informed.
Please note that the estimated delivery dates you see when logged in at stromshaga.se are are the delivery date you get if you place an order today. If you have placed an order earlier, you have a previously estimated delivery date, but unfortunately these may have been delayed.

Container shortage and rising prices for shipping & raw materials
The global shortage of raw materials and shipping containers together with the incident in the Suez canal and other consequences caused by the Covid-19 pandemic has led to drastic inflation in shipping and container prices and increased delay times for us at Strömshaga. Due to this we have introduced new pricing on some of our products. About a third of our range has been price adjusted, for current prices log in as a retailer at stromshaga.se. For those who placed an order before 21 June 2021, the price stated for the placed order applies. We would also like to remind you of the importance of placing your order in time to be able to ensure delivery in the best possible way.
Here's a list of of things that led to the price adjustments:
- The cost of raw materials has risen sharply over the past year due to an imbalance between supply and demand.
- Global container shortage have been a fact since early 2020, strated with the lockdown in China, which have led to historically high shipping costs on imports to Europe.
- A sharp rise of the corona cirus in India have led to lockdowns in the country which still affects our production.
- The blockage in the Suez Canal in March 2021 has affected the entire world market. Deliveries from Asia to Europe, and the Strömshaga warehouse, may be up to 3 weeks delayed.
